Kindergarten Newsletter
May 19- May 23, 2008.
We had a super week in Kindergarten! We completed our assessments and I am so proud of all the students! They have all come so far and worked so hard, the results truly showed in their performance. Unfortunately we were not able to take our trip to Sam Johnson Park due to the weather:( I will try and reschedule it for another day next week, but the end of the year is filling up so fast! This week we learned about “Long I”, Community Helpers, and read the story of Adam and Eve in the Bible. On Friday we had a substitute teacher, Mrs. Fleenor, and it was a lot of fun! The Pre-Kindergarten class came in and joined us for Centers in our classroom.
Next week we will be learning about “Short U”. We will continue to take AR Tests to reach our goal, two months in a row, for the entire class to pass 4 tests. We will also begin rehearsals for the Spring Musical; Miss Sale has a wonderful production planned for us! As the end of the year approaches we will review what we have learned in Kindergarten and start preparing for First Grade!
